  • Need a new partner

I enjoy the game - especially that I can configure so many options to make it very close to the way my family and I play. But, I need a slightly smarter partner, especially when it comes to being aware of the game score. Today, we were 5 points from winning, our opponents were way behind us, and all we would have had to do was pass to go out. Instead, my partner bid a high big, which we failed to make, and we ultimately lost the game. Similarly, my partner doesn’t realize when our opponents are close to winning and we are way behind, our only hope of winning the game is to let them get the bid and put them up.

I love that I can customize the Pinochle game to the rules I use. In fact I love everything about the set up and options of this app, except for the way it plays. The code or AI in this game continually deals the best cards, full ropes or partial ropes that it’s partner can fill in, aces, and the cards the other, team needs to to itself. On a regular basis. I have skipped hands over and over with all hands revealed to watch it do this. It also sets itself up to short suit easily. While the live player and partner get junk and the AI makes my partner pass more readily than a live person would do. I can’t improve my playing because my hands are so bad I have to pass all the time. It’s rare that I actually have any fun with this because it’s definitely not a fair random shuffle. Would love to see this fixed.

  • AI doesn’t play right

My AI partner always outbids me only to flush out all of my trump and then we lose the bid! What’s up with the eternal drive to get out the A of trump, even leading with k and 10s? The AI does this until the last A of trump has played….and often leaves us going set due to having no more trump! Why does my partner always outbid me ? If I have an awesome run I have to keep outbidding my AI partner until we cannot save! Ugh ! I liked your ap at first cus I lik3 the game but i5 definitely needs to learn the gam3 better! Thanks, Joy
  • Inconsistent Scoring

Very nice set up for play. Unfortunately, more than a few scoring inconsistencies, that diminishes any interest in continuing.

  • Partner not playing ace

Can you tell me why when I lead a pointer and my partner has an ace, he lets it go and invariably our opponent takes the trick? If a real life partner did that, he would only do it once after I read him the riot act. It happens very frequently!
  • Problems with the computer playing partner and the dealing

In double deck it’s okay to send your partner 20 meld if the partner has at least 16 and then it also applies as the numbers go up. 26 is 30 and so on. It’s not okay to send your partner meld if you don’t don’t have at least two or three aces in your hand unless of its bidder go for the opponent. A lot of times the computer partner won’t even send meld because it’s acting like it wants the bid but if you’re going to bid send meld also because that maybe all your partner needs and when it’s just you and your partner bidding then don’t keep out bidding each other because then you’re both out of range. These things I discussed is the problems I have with the computer partner and the dealing appears to be biased in favor of the two computer partners oppose to the dealing just being random every deal from the beginning to the end.
