  • Disappointing

I am so disappointed in this version of TicketToRide.… The old app I played numerous times a day and enjoyed playing others that had comparable scores and the challenge of playing people at the same caliber.… Since this version doesn’t keep track of how many games you played how many games you lost or won we’re all just playing people who may or may not know what they’re doing. I also am not crazy about the characters looking shoes it’s so limited. But the worst part is I cannot see the whole game board on my iPad therefore when I’m choosing a ticket I cannot see where the route starts or stops if it goes across the whole board. Lots of glitches. If the game freezes up or my character freezes up and I leave the game I can’t reenter it…… also the old app offered a game called mega 1912 which this one doesn’t just not a fan wish they would bring the old one back
  • Beware playing computer/AI

Recent updates to the difficulty have made playing against HARD cpu ridiculous. The difficulty doesn’t actually impact the moves your opponents make but simply the cards that you draw (particularly routes). Recently I’ve had so many games where I keep drawing the same low value route cards that are not close to my other routes on consecutive turns even when it says there are 15+ route cards in the pile. It’s insane and obvious that this is the main way the game regulates “difficulty” Been playing for almost 6 months and about to give it up because it’s rigged and not fun.
  • Updates are improving!

Like many, I loved the old TTR and came here when that version went offline. I originally reviewed this version as a 1 because it seemed they spent more time on catchy graphics than the actual game. Hard to see, slow animations, etc. clearly the developers are listening!! They’ve made a new better map as an option, the tracks are getting easier to see, as are the color cards. The end scoring is better now without the rollerball style. It’s way better than even 2 weeks ago. Still miss rank play so you know what you’re up against and hate HATE that you have to be in the app to get a friend invite to work. When out of the app you’ll get a pop up but when you click it you can’t get to the friend game so they have to re-invite. I have faith the devs are going to keep rolling out improvements if we keep giving them feedback
  • Update #3: Poor color choices and tracks at full zoom out could be wider

Update 3rd review: YESSSSSSS! Map in the regular view (colorful view) is much easier to see with the shadow or contrasting outline that was added, but more importantly, a toggle button that allows for a simplified map (less busy, less color, more contrast) that looks great! Thank you thank you thank you, to the game developers. Card to track color ( especially “pink”) is still weird. But man, this is getting better! Two star now four star and this is also a fist bump for effort!! _____________________2nd review: colors are still weird. Contrast may have improved (I wish I had a screen shot of previous versions to compare). Anyway, gameplay has improved. My pinch and zoom seems to respond more predictably. I have played online and have not been disconnected as others complained about earlier so I appreciate the developer effort here. I am looking forward to updates. Perhaps users will have options to change some screen elements in future updates? I would love to be able to drop the mountains our make them more muted. I would also like wider tracks at full zoom out._______________1st review I bought the game today to see what all the fuss is about in the comments. I won’t play again until I see improvments. As a long time ipad player of the old game, I agree with others about the poor color contrast and choice of colors. These choices make identifying the others players trains on tracks difficult. The background “land” of the USA is too dark, in my opinion. My eyes are fine and I am playing on a late model ipad with 10” + screen. Too much screen space is wasted on the surrounding oceans of North America and the mountains of Canada. Great graphics but, for gameplay, I would prefer a zoomed in view and larger tracks so that I can drop my trains troublefree. Sure, I can zoom — I tried that — but it is glitchy on iPad and doesn’t seem to “pinch” to zoom when and where I expect. In fact, sometimes the gesture seems to do the opposite. Please, look at the old game and understand what long time players are saying about why that board was appreciated. It was flat, it had nicely sized train tracks and the location of other players trains on routes was instantly recognizable.
  • Great updates, needs a few tweaks

I played a lot of the previous app, and I think the Marmalade team is going in the right direction. They have adjusted several issues which bothered veteran players, including simplified maps and a faster gaming experience. I particularly liked how you streamlined the double routes claimed on 1v1 games. A few things to consider below: 1. There needs to be a ranked system put in place soon. Come up with something creative (like tiers), but that was the main reason the “veteran” and “regular players” played the game constantly. My family likes the new implementation, but they always ask about when you guys are implementing the ranked system as that’s the reason why they kept playing the older app. 2. Aside from expansions, game extensions (including Mega 1910) need to be added to the game. This gave the main map (USA) a lot of replayability, which was by far the most played map online. Please consider this as having few ticket cards in the main map makes it feel repetitive, especially when it’s the only version people who paid for the app are playing. 3. You should start hinting at what other expansions you guys plan to release! I will edit as I keep playing more, but I feel the team has been constantly and regularly updating the game to please us, veteran players. Keep listening to your audience and you will soon have everyone satisfied, Marmalade! EDIT 2: Please bring other expansions that were not featured in the previous app, that would be amazing. E.g. Amsterdam, Around the Globe, New York City, Etc.
  • Awful Graphics Awful Multiplayer

I enjoyed playing this on the previous Ticket to Ride app and found the online multiplayer mode very easy and user friendly. This new app is just absolutely awful. The Graphics hurt your head trying to figure out what colors are what and where they are on the map. They tried to make it too 3D and it just does not work. As for the Online multiplayer of course they want you to create a new account with some new game share company. Why is there no in app game to game function for multiplayer why do we always have to out source that technology to a different gaming platform. I wish I had not bought this app and wish I could get my money back. What was the reason for taking the last app off of the market ? Such an unfortunate situation.
  • Money grabbing?

We played this game for years on the days of wonder website. Bought lots of tracks. Now all of the sudden we’ve got a whole new platform and have to start all over. Not only that but everyone we play with has to spend $35 each to get all of the tracks. That’s too expensive. No one needs characters and fancy trains. No one cares about those. You could have at least given you OG Players a discount code or something. It just feels like a money grab to me and this is not the economy for that.

Wish list includes expansion to 64 routes with most routes completed bonus 15 pts. Select minimum 3 routes of five choices to begin then additional routes pick from 4 routes choose 1 minimum. The hard setting for computer players is very good. I usually play four computers at that level.
  • Great. Please add rankings, similar to the old app
