Start your subscription today to begin treatment with EndeavorOTC, the game-based ADHD treatment clinically designed to improve symptoms, attention and focus, designed with the same technology as the world’s first FDA-authorized game-based treatment. The treatment includes Focus Score, a first-of-its-kind personalized metric where you can track attention progress. EndeavorOTC is for adults 18 years and older with ADHD experiencing inattention-related challenges that affect their quality of life such as diminished focus, inability to complete projects or tasks, keep track of important items, and more. Built with the same technology as EndeavorRx, the world's first FDA-authorized video game treatment. EndeavorOTC is available now by subscription. No prescription needed. EndeavorOTC was studied in more than 220 participants over a 6-week period. In the clinical trial, 88% of participants saw improvement in their attention and 73% of participants reported quality of life improvements, including an increased ability to balance projects, get things done on time and keep track of important items like phone, wallet, and keys. There were no lasting or serious side effects in any clinical trials for EndeavorOTC. (1,2) How EndeavorOTC improves focus: The gameplay challenges you to tap targets and navigate obstacles to boost your attention and focus. As you progress through the game, the technology is continuously measuring your performance and using adaptive algorithms to adjust the difficulty and personalize the treatment experience. How to Play EndeavorOTC: Playing EndeavorOTC can fit into your daily routine. The more you play, the better your results. Playing the game every day for an initial six weeks can improve your attention and other functions that make up your ability to focus. Users will be given a target Focus Score increase which should be achievable in six weeks. Based on clinical trial data, the target increase provided directly relates to improvement in ADHD-related symptoms and overall quality of life. And, for the vast majority of people, this will leave room for continued improvement in Focus Score and cognitive abilities as well as ADHD symptom management beyond the initial six week course of treatment. EndeavorOTC is made available under the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) current Enforcement Policy for Digital Health Devices for Treating Psychiatric Disorders During the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Public Health Emergency. EndeavorOTC has not been cleared or authorized by the FDA for its indications. It is recommended that patients speak to their health care provider before starting EndeavorOTC treatment, and before making any medical decisions. © 2024 Akili Interactive Labs, Inc. • Results are hidden behind a steep paywall

You spend 10-15 minutes to get your first result and then can’t even see what the results are unless you pay around $60 for at least three months. I didn’t get an option for a free trial either so it just wasted my time.
  • Way to expensive I have to pay for meds already

It’s so expensive and for a video game yes I have adhd and my kids have it too but I already have to pay for meds for 3 ppl with ADHD a game that can help us should be free with all the challenges we have to deal with in a day already 130$ a year should not be one of them. And I hate to burst your bubble but the game is subway surfer and that’s free so I’ll stay with that. I don’t need a game to tell me what I already know I have.

Don’t rely on the negative reviews from people who forgot how the App Store works with free trials and automatic subscriptions, or the people complaining that the game isn’t the most fun. It’s definitely fun for treatment and I noticed a difference after my very first session. It gets harder as you improve to keep challenging you, the harder the game gets the easier my life gets. One of my biggest struggles with ADHD is executive disfunction and all the extra time it takes me to start and complete tasks due to all my dilly dallying, committing to this treatment plan has cut down that time DRASTICALLY as well as all of the anxiety and depression that used to result from the struggle. Now I just plan something and I do the thing? I feel so efficient and my confidence has significantly improved. Bonus tip: if you meditate or have a brief period of non-sleep deep rest within four hours of a session (or any kind of study session) it helps your brain to really rewire all of those changes in your brain aka it makes your brain a better sponge for everything you are learning.

This app really works. I’m testing it for my clients with ADHD and see my own focus improve quickly and being able to decrease procrastination on all tasks, especially boring ones.
  • No free trial?

I downloaded this app but there’s no free trial period and the smallest amount of money you can put in just to create an account is $70 for 3 months. Can’t believe they expect someone to pay that much without even knowing what the app does. Edit since developer responded to me: I understand that a week is too short of a time to see whether your product is effective, but you’re asking people to commit to spending at least 7 hours using an app without knowing what the time will be spent doing. You don’t even have any videos. What if I hate the game? I either have to continue playing it 10 minutes a day for 6 weeks or I’m out $70? That’s absurd.
  • Just a bad game, don’t download

TLDR; This is not a treatment for ADHD/ADD, it’s just a bad game. The research backing this is weak at best. Rich people made this to get richer by accessing your health insurance money. This game requires an actual medical care provider to prescribe it to you because it takes advantage of a legal loophole that was put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic to allow companies to access health coverage to experiment with apps and devices aid in Telehealth communications and other remote health care to aid in the global health crisis. This app is not FDA approved or certified as a treatment for ADHD. Read the fine print for details. Also take a look at the Terms of Use and Privacy policy as you may be divulging more data than you may be comfortable with. This game only addresses one small facet of a multifaceted mental health issue, FOCUS. They measure the success of the product by whether or not individuals were able to focus on the game for a bit. Their only “research” was testing a group of only about 200 people of which only about half mentioned that their focus had changed while playing the game. As others have pointed out, any video game will do this. Other games will do a better job of stimulating the brain, improving skills, and engaging the user in meaningful activity. This game is repetitive, boring, clunky, and ugly. The points don’t mean anything. You will not gain any new skills from this game. This game is not an appropriate substitute for ADHD medication or counseling, nor is it even an appropriate addition to the many tools out there for treating ADHD. DO NOT under any circumstances use this as the only treatment for ADHD. It’s the equivalent of telling a starving person to go eat some air. Will it fill your stomach? Maybe a little? Will some people tell you it works? Absolutely. Will it actually work? Of course it won’t.
  • Might be good but I see some dark patterns

I did my session and then it wants to fork out between $70 and $130 to see my score. For a medical treatment that targets people with poor impulse control that seems pretty unethical. Also I have to make this decision before I have any idea if this thing works at all. Would be better if I had a free week or even a few days. Or even if I could pay for a smaller unit of time. So my first impression is that maybe it works, I enjoyed playing it, but it also feels scammy to me. Makes me wonder in what other ways they might try to milk me for cash as I'm playing. Not a great way to go if you're pitching something that's not a pay to play game but rather an actual medical treatment.
  • Scam

Would rather spend 250 on Vyvanse every month than pay $23 on an app that can’t even tell you your first score without blocking it behind a paywall. F these people, be cautious
  • I see the intention but the price just isn’t worth it.

I could pay a qtr of that to just go get on some Adderall and be either cracked out or crashed out 24/7 but that wouldn’t truly be any helpful either. I wish apps like this were more accessible to low income people especially with poverty on the rise in the U.S. on top of a mental health and drug epidemic. More and more people are looking to get away from harmful and addictive medications but for some help is just out of the question all because everyone has to make some profit or it just isn’t worth it… I understand most free apps get their money from ads but lord there’s got to be something out there that’s at least not a ridiculous price for REAL help.
  • Fun and engaging

The game is fun and I appreciate the accessibility of being OTC. I think there’s also room to explore other games, but I think the baseline gameplay challenge needs to be super smooth. Like Super Mario is popular for both casual players and speed running because the gameplay is both accessible but also *feels* nice to play so you can grind away at it. My impression is EndeavorOTC works by getting me into flow state playing a continuous attention/motion game, while still requiring me to pay attention for quick visual pattern recognition. I think the pattern matching challenge is fine, except it’s hard to watch for patterns on a tiny screen while I’m physically shaking my phone around and need to also keep my thumbs off the screen to avoid false inputs. (Games like DDR address this by being edge-triggered rather than level-triggered; you don’t get penalized for continuing to stand on a button after activating it, and high skill players rely on this.) I’d like to be able to play with a video game controller though. For example, let me play on tvOS using a PS5 controller. I’d have a much easier time looking at a stable screen, using a joystick to pilot, and multiple available physical buttons to press whichever is most convenient (or make it an extra difficulty at higher levels that there are separate buttons to press for different obstacles )
