Beschreibung

Simple and elegant tone generator with two Oscillators and one Noise generator, each with individual lowpass filters. The oscillators also has panning, and can produce one of four waveforms: sine, triangle, sawtooth and square. The oscillator frequencies can be tuned precisely in Hz or fractional MIDI note pitch. Use it for testing purposes or to make old-school electronic drone music. Supports Audiobus and Inter-App Audio: Stream the audio output in real time into other compatible apps!

  • Exactly What I Needed

Back in the early 90’s… I use to use 100% hardware to DJ in our clubs. Fast forward to today and the entire landscape has changed. While we were concerned with beat matching, it was more of an Ear Game. Our one and only CD player collected dust before anyone would touch it. As I get deeper into DAWs, I’m not understanding all the terminology and what it means. This app has been an incredible help when it comes to the different structures. I can finally understand what I’m doing in this area.

i like simplicity of oscillator & it does exactly what it says. trying to understand synth-like interaction of the (3) channels, oscillators A&B and 1 noise generator. only thing i would add is something about how 3 channels interact but that would complicate it. so oscillator excellent as-is.
  • Best tone generator for testing audio equipment

I am using several tone generator apps to test a home built valve guitar amplifier. After trying several, this one is by far the best. Here’s why: 1. Log scale frequency sliders. This is so important. Down near 20 Hz, a difference of 1 hz is a big difference and you need precision of less than one Hz. Up above 2000 Hz a 1Hz difference is not very significant and you need to sweep quickly. That’s why a tone generator must have log scale frequency. Most tone gen apps don’t have it but this one does. 2. dB scale gain. Similar to the log scale frequency, if you don’t have dB scale volume control then you really can’t control the volume at the low end. This app has it. 3. More than one oscillator. If you are testing an amplifier you may want to see how it responds to a combination of a low and high frequency tone. This app does that. Most others do not.

This is a very powerful, excellent, and useful app. MY respect for the developers. The only improvement I would make is to add a run in background and mix with audio feature. For audio filtering this is important, unequivocally. Must use. 😊🤓

My teacher showed us an example of an ossltaior in class senice we are learning about waves every time I press on one it wouldn't even open I tryed to read some reviews to see if others had the same problem I saw nothing but 1 review and all it said was have to do better I could already tell that this game is unpopular PLZ DONT WASTE YOUR GOOD TIME ON DOING AN STUPID GAME TIKE THIS WHO EVER MADE THIS GAME DO BETTER! I AM NOT EVER JOKING I WOULD DO -9 IF THEY WOULD LET ME AND I TRY TO DO ZERO STARS BUT THEY WONT LET ME!!😡😡😡

I would love to connect and cast the sounds from the app to my stereo via WiFi

Works great. I checked the flatness all the way, and from 20 Hz to 17 kHz, sine-wave, and it's flat, and from 17 to 20 kHz it drops 2.1 dB. Not bad. My only complaint is that from 17-20kHz it's only about 1/8" and my manly finger almost cannot navigate very well. I do recommend this app.

Worked great to “troubleshoot” my own ears! (I have tinnitus.) It would be even better if the oscillators could be individually turned on/off, but great tool for free.
  • perfect for what it is.

A no-brainer - download it to test speaker/headphone/ear response ranges.
