Will purchase the paid version once I feel I have played a perfect strategy
  • Dealer kept drawing after 17

Edit: The split aces thing is a rule, you get only one more card on each ace, unless you draw another ace and want to split again. So that was right. But I’m pretty sure the dealer is supposed to stand at 17 even if it has to count an A as an 11 to make it, and even if the house loses on a 17. The app did it again, and I think it glitches when it has more than one A in one hand. It isn’t sophisticated enough to count its aces as one 1 and one 11. Or maybe it’s another rule that I don’t know and the dealer has to count two aces as both 1’s. Old review: I’m new to blackjack, so maybe there’s an exception to the “dealer stands on 17” rule that I’m not familiar with, but I just split 4’s against a dealer’s 5, got something like 20&18, and the bottom card was an ace, dealer drew another ace, and I thought “17, cool, I win.” But the dealer drew two more cards. I was surprised and I didn’t even notice what cards they were, whether that was legal, or what. Again, I’m new. Maybe I just don’t understand the rules. Also, I second what another reviewer said about splitting aces. Shouldn’t we get to play that out further than just one more card? I don’t know that, either. Otherwise, a great app. One last thing. Deal could stand to be faster, and there should be a toggleable feature that explains basic rules each hand for rank beginners like me, instead of always moving on immediately to the next hand. Maybe that’s in the premium version. But even the free app is really good overall.

that the shuffle and dealing is random but I’m skeptical. The dealer, too often, has just the right card to beat me. It’s too often to be coincidence. I understand that winning is not the goal. However, if someone is learning the rules but still gets beat often (by the exact card necessary!) then that defeats the purpose. Other than that it is simple to use and effective for learning strategy. I recommend it.
  • Great.

I like learning new things and right away I learned stuff about Blackjack that I never even new existed like basic strategy. The app led me to their video which led me to buying the extras and then I got the paid version of the app because it’s honestly just entertaining and I’m learning alot and I’m learning it alot faster then I thought I would. I know I’ll never be a professional blackjack player and don’t really strive to be but this app made learning so fun I would not only recommend it to people who like Blackjack but also people who like strategy games. 5 stars all day and if I get good enough I’m paying to be a member.

I was excited to find this app but it closes as soon as it opens. I have deleted and reinstalled and still the same.

I was concerned because the table felt graphics say the dealer stands on all 17s, but the strategy used & on the chart was for hit on soft 17. You can turn the deal speed down, then up as you get more skill. Sorry to read that in game purchases are not as good as buying pro. Would have bought in game purchases if I hadn’t read reviews here
  • Only a couple of things

There should be a way to go back and review cards during practice drills if you make a mistake to see where you messed up. Also during play the dealers cards are being swept away before players not giving enough time to keep count.

This app doesn’t look slick and when I first got it I thought, what is this?? But I’ve been using it to train myself on counting and proper strategy and for that it’s really good. Only two things could really be improved: 1) when you split Aces, you can’t play the hand through. I thought maybe that’s how it works in real Black Jack at a casino? You only get one more card and that’s the hand? But I don’t think that’s right. 2) you can’t save a log of your rule errors. So, I take a screenshot every time I make a mistake, and then go thru my photos to transcribe the rule errors over to a list I keep. Kind of a pain. Otherwise, very helpful app.
