    It makes me put in my complete passport and green card info EVERY TIME I travel. Why doesn't this app store my information with my account? Annoying and time consuming.

  • AA app fail, iPad app does not update reservations

    I changed reservations for a future trip. AA.com shows the correct information. My Aa app on iPad does not update with correct flight reservations information, iPhone app updates correctly. My wife’s iPad doesn’t update also, her iPhone also works correctly. 12 hours later iPad app still not updating correctly! All iPads and iPhones iOS and Aa apps are current and up to date! I have forced closed the app and reopened, still wrong information. I turned my iPad off and back on still the iPad shows the wrong information. The phone number listed to report app issues (800.222.2377) takes you to the main reservations system and it doesn’t provide access to report app issues. UPDATE! The iPad app is now working.

    Update: purchased my tickets and pay extra to select my seats but my seats are than changed without a notification. So whats they point of paying extra?? Downloaded the app to check in. Was unable to sign up because of Duplicate reg error. But thats okay the reason i am writing is because of the poor error handling on the form to register. Also who ever signed off on this should ask for feedback because the entire process is wonky and unfriendly.

    Forgot to hand the flight attendants a coupon recognizing outstanding service and wanted to make sure they were commended. My flight was on 04/30/24 from SDQ to Miami on flight 1154. We were seated on seats 4E and 4F. Thanks again….

    If you book flights on this app, make sure to screenshot everything. We made reservations, double and triple checked them and made the purchase. When we reviewed the confirmation email, we discovered that the outgoing flight was totally different. Upon calling American, we were told that our change request was outside of 24 hours, so we could either pay a change fee, or try standby. Their attitude was basically, its the buyers fault, not ours. So, if you download this app and use it, always make sure to screenshot everything before purchasing. Do not expect American to willingly do anything other than find more ways to charge you money.

    The miles are worth next to nothing but if you want to buy them be prepared to spend way more than they’re worth. Once you’ve booked a flight, there’s no way to upgrade seat or anything with miles. You have to do that at the beginning, though it’s still a difficult process with no way to apply miles as partial payments. This app it’s self is poorly designed as well. It’s mostly a way to forward you to a web page where you’ll have to login and navigate page after page of looking for anyway to spend miles. Southwest provides a very similar level of comfort and convenience without this extreme difficulty to use miles. On southwests miles program customers can partially pay for flights, get boarding upgrades, and more, right in the app. Not a link to a web page with over complicated charts describing how if you fly into a “premium economy” your points will be worth even less. I regret ever spending on my AArewards card and I won’t be flying American unless it’s an American specific route, like this time.
