  • would be great if it didn't crash constantly

It's really unfortunate that this app isn't more stable. I like the way it works. However, whenever I close it down there is a 50% chance when I open it again that it will crash on startup. Once it crashes on startup, the only way to fix it is to delete the app and download it again, but even that doesn't work sometimes (it will stll crash) and you just have to wait and try again later. Super frustrating.

My phone app works better than my Mac app, which will allow me to make one change and then freezes or something and won't let me do anything else until I close and reopen it. I have several hiking "activities" put in for an 8-day trip but can only upload 3 documents per trip so I won't be able to add hardly any of my maps, itineraries, reervations, etc. It's useful to keep me organized with addresses and times. I wish I could use mapped directions or mapped itineraries in order in it but the map only shows the addresses. I guess that's better than nothing.

As the title suggested, the app will no longer open since updating to MacOS 14.2.

  • Something is Up Here, not Trips

This app worked so well, but the most recent version seems to have issues. It is not importing my trips sometimes and there is no logic to when it occurs. The customer service is not very helpful as the only response is asking if I am using the correct email to forward the itinerary. I paid for the Pro version and it is becoming very frustrating now.

  • Spending time de-bugging rather than updating

I use this app like all the time. I travel both simple and complex trips. There are some bugs. It just seems like everytime there is an update its just fixing bugs rather than expanding the usefulness and appearance of the app. They are lucky that Tripsy is all appearance and not substance because it looks good until you try to use it . . . but if there is another app that starts to become more funmctional. Tripit, needs to get a move on and progress the app. I have sent suggestions etc so they can't say they haaven't heard it.
  • Intrusive privacy requirement

This app now requires the customer to supply a date of birth to use it. This is unreasonable as it it certainly not required for basic functionality. A terrible change.
  • Not even close to the iOS version

This app needs a lot of work! I've used TripIt on my phone for years (iOS) and it's worked very nicely. The experience on the Mac is another story. Syncing is slow and not always complete. Then the last update appears to have broken everything. It launches and crashes. Hmmm.... Guess I'll just stick to the web-based version on the Mac and the app on iOS.

This app is OK. It is not phenominal. It is a pretty clear sign that an app is not well engineered when it requires some kind of login and it does not use the macOS Keychain. That means no TouchID either. It is like buying a car that has a problematic ignition. yea... not so much.
