Discover how leaves make food, experiment with underground root systems, or play with the parts of a plant cell! Interactive 3D simulations and straightforward language enable an immersive experience for curious minds. *** App Store's App of the Day *** *** Parents' Choice Silver Award *** "This educational plant app illustrates lessons and engages students much better than any textbook or video." –Jenny Bristol, Common Sense Media "The existence of tools like NAMOO reminds me of why (in the right context) educational iPad apps can be SO AMAZING AND BENEFICIAL." –Luke Dormehl, Cult of Mac "With a pleasant pace and a charming feel, it sets the standard for functional learner-centered mobile education." –Sarah Bell, Huffington Post "NAMOO is a FANTASTIC TEACHING TOOL for children with its attractive visuals and interactive experience. You’re sure to spark the interest of students as you give them a chance to interact with high-quality content." –Monica Burns, ClassTechTips There are many basic yet surprising things to learn about the inner workings of trees and flowers. How do plants turn carbon dioxide into food? How do flowers become fruits? Through the use of colorful interactive models, Namoo will help students gain a deeper understanding of the science at work. Namoo goes beyond the textbook! It is a multi-layered journey where you can play, experiment, and learn with ease. Namoo features nine chapters. Each chapter is dedicated to a part of a plant and its function, including roots, stems, leaves, and flowers. Two chapters provide an in-depth look at cell structure and photosynthesis may awaken the scientist within! In the world of Namoo, dynamic visuals are accompanied by clear explanations. Every tap of the screen yields a new bit of information. With students in mind, we have also included comprehensive reading blocks for each chapter. Namoo is designed to be a one-stop solution and an immersive tour through plant life. Buy this if you like to be ripped off. The full product does not give you much more than the trial.

I love this app! It’s so soothing and beautiful! My daughter found it when she was 6 and still loves to play it now as a 7 year old. It’s got beautiful animation, a good balance of text and action to keep the child engaged. Too many words would make it boring. The music and sound effects are also very beautiful and not obnoxious like so many other games out there that parents and kids have to listen to. This is not a textbook, but it’s a great start to get a child interested in biology. I wish they had more of these types of games.

Kid went through this in 5 minutes. Need something much more in depth and advanced to be worth the purchase price.

Save your money. There is little interaction and no replay value. This is a 3D animated version of what is found in every elementary textbook. It would be better if there was a simulation mode where you combined everything for the goal of growing a healthy fruit tree. Wish I hadn’t wasted my money!

I’ve always love botany, the study of plant life.
  • Deleted app due to error but unauthorized in-purchase was made

If you accidentally installed this app (because it was app of the day) and then deleted it on the same day, be wary of your purchasing account in case there were some in-app purchases made later on. It just happened to me and I was able to get a refund through Apple Support.
  • Beautiful learning.

It’s so wonderful when something makes learning and discovery into a magical experience. Peaceful, interesting and made with so much love, this beautiful app is one for learners of all ages.
  • Meh. Good try but mediocre implementation

Im a biologist. BS and MS. I have a 6 year old child but I know this is for 9+. Still i find it generally uninteresting at any level. Its not fun for lower ages, and not useful as a learning tool for higher ages. With more effort and streamlining it could be. The developers have good ideas but fail to hit the mark on interface and user experience. They just needed better direction IMO.

My 5 year old son loves this game. He has started learning the whole touch screen thing. He loves the fact that touching the parts of a plant and the app is extremely useful in teaching us basic concepts of plants, how they grow, how we use parts of them and so on. Cool graphics and helpful for children also adults expand knowledge of plants
