Coaster-Count

I feel compelled to write this because I can’t believe how many bad reviews there are for this great app. It does cost $3 a year to use, but I think the value is 10 times that. Every coaster in the world is listed and it is very easy to use. I have had great costumer service, unlike a lot of the bad reviews. I tried LogRide, but I really disliked that it had every ride in the park and not just the coasters. You do need to set up your account online, but then you can easily log into the app. I was able to use the date and old trip itineraries to create a very accurate timeline of first rides of the coasters I had ridden before I used this app. I use this app all of the time when out riding and when planning trips. I highly recommend it.

I should not have bought an app without a free trial. You have to pay to download and when you register beware you may not get a response for 5-days. The response doesn’t matter when it comes because the app is so difficult to use. There are three apps better than this and all of them free. Look elsewhere Editing my review because the developer contacted me via email with a snarky, passive aggressive response to this review. Bad app, bad customer service. Stay away.

The specifically say when you are creating an account. It is strictly prohibited to register multiple times. Doing so will result in a permanent ban for all related accounts! And when you put your info in they don’t sent you a confirmation email!!!! It is a scam!,,,,

With a paid app titled coaster count, you’d think you’d be able to actually count the coasters you’ve ridden once the app is downloaded. Well, without registering and paying more, it’s simply a coaster database, which is free and also referenced within the app. Save your $3.00.

Before you buy, please understand that they make you pay an additional $3 per year to use. They don’t tell you until after you pay for the app. Even after you pay the $3 it is an absolute pain trying to verify your account to log into the app. It’s a coaster app that they secure like it’s your income tax information. Absolute garbage.

I love coasters and I love the idea behind this app! However, after purchasing the app, I haven’t been able to log into my account (I keep getting told to use a desktop and purchase some kind of other subscription to it), there’s also no way to contact support on the app (at least not that I can see). I just tried using the website, and it’s decent. Slow, but decent. I really wish I would’ve just tried that first and passed on this mobile app that doesn’t even work.

I signed up for this site today without getting a TOTAL! membership. I got my registration email within a few hours and signed up and started using the site on my computer. I decided to splurge and buy the app so I could use it on the go. I logged in only to be told that I could not have access to the app unless I bought an $8 yearly subscription to the website. What a complete scam. I will be requesting a refund for the money I wasted on this app.

This is much better then me trying to write down everything while I’m at a park. Yes you do have to pay $3 a year for the service, but it’s pretty great so I don’t mind. It has helped me find coasters I forgot to include in my list as well as nearby coasters I would have missed! I would suggest a way to change your coaster count easier in a future update though.

I should have read the previous review before agreeing to pay for this app. Once you’ve paid for the app you discover that you cannot log into your coaster-count account through the app unless you also pay for a yearly subscription. Either give the app away for free and use the yearly subscription model or, charge for the app full featured app with no subscription needed.

I, too, had the same issue of registering after purchasing the app, three weeks passed and they said they sent me a registration email but never did. I finally got registered and then discovered they ask you to pay 8$ a year to use the app. Save yourself the money and hassle. You can create an account online and use the web browser version for free. What a pity.
