  • Buggy and not unlimited

Many others have commented on how Everand intentionally obfuscates their system and how it’s not actually unlimited, so I won’t belabor that point. However, the thing that really gets me is that I have to fully restart the app almost every time I want to play an audiobook. Not just a new one. I can literally pause an audiobook, and try to play it again five minutes later and it just won’t play. Usually restarting the app fixes this, but it’s inconvenient and ridiculous. This is a super basic function and it’s incredible that it hasn’t been fixed yet.
  • Continuous Buffering

I’ve had this app for 24 hours. I downloaded it to finish a series that I started on Spotify. I have yet to hear one single word of my series. The app stays buffering continuously. I’ve deleted and put the app back on my phone several times to no avail, I am deleting it and canceling my subscription.
  • Not unlimited

After 3 days they've already blocked me from reading. Available soon means wait til next month. I read a lot but they are old books. This was a test. If you only read a couple books a month than this is for you. If you like books then. Unlimited is complete nonesense. Word clearly don't mean anything with these companies. False promises.
  • Updated!!! Love the Options

Edit 5/2/2024: I stand corrected. Only a few seem to be limited listen-time-wise. I think those options should be marked when one of them is selected to listen to. That way the listener is aware and unsurprised, not shocked and upset like I was when I was suddenly cut off from listening to the book(s) I had. But it great. I got the Everand app with the intention of paying for the subscription after the free trial. I loved the options of audiobooks, including the fully dramatized audiobooks. BUT I found out the hard way that Everand limits how much you can listen to per month which is ridiculous. I was on a long trip and needed some audiobooks to listen to while on the road. I made it through one whole two-part audiobook and halfway through a second when I suddenly couldn’t listen to anything anymore. I looked into it and found this message over the audiobook I wanted to listen to: “You’ve reached your limit. Based on your recent reading activity, you’ve reached your limit for this monthly cycle. In the meantime, there’s some other great content for you to enjoy.” So in other words, yeah Everand has great audiobook options, but they limit how much you can listen to per month. Which is a low blow. I’m an avid reader and audiobooks are great if I can’t actually read a physical book for whatever reason. Limiting how much I can listen to, especially for paid subscriptions isn’t the best move. Hopefully, this limit is only for the free trial period. So I’m going to wait and pay for my first month. If the limit is still there after I’ve paid for an entire month’s worth of content, then I’m dropping my rating for this app to 2 Stars, dumping this app entirely, and just going to rely on Audible instead. At least Audible doesn’t limit how much I listen to.
  • Audiobooks never available

Any audiobook that’s worth listening to always says “Available Soon”. When I go back after the date that’s given, it’s now changed to the following month. So I can never listen to anything worthwhile. Their customer service is also a joke.
  • Watch app broken

It used to work but the last update destroyed the watch app (crashes on launch).
  • Love this app but it’s glitchy

I’ve been a subscriber of Scribd and now Everand for years now, and it is a great alternative to Audible! However, the player is pretty glitchy. I often have to restart the app to resume listening to my audiobook. And sometimes it will even restart my book from the beginning. I enjoy using this service, but I hope to see future improvements in this area.
  • NO LONGER UNLIMITED *

Once upon a time this subscription had unlimited listening- bought the subscription to finish a series but when I got to the last book it says “you’ve reach your limit for monthly cycle” So now I have to wait a month to finish?!
  • Apple watch app stopped working

Maybe I’m the only one using the Apple Watch app, but even after multiple uninstalls/reinstalls, it is not working on the latest WatchOS 10.4

Everand is meh. When it works, it's great. But, you often have to restart the app because it freezes up. It frequently loses my place. And now, there's this weird content limiting of basically popular content? So, randomly halfway through my book, I hit my "limit" and could no longer listen to it. What am I paying for?
