    This app is garbage. I was an organizer and the app had so many errors all the time. Plus there is basically no customer service or regulation how the organizers run their groups. It’s trash.

    I got an offer from Meetup after RSVP’ing 3 times for events via the app. I wasn’t able to complete said offer because the app’s web page crashed and I’m not happy at all that customer support chooses to ignore my request to get me my offer back and to fix their app to prevent this from happening again. Let’s see if they’ll ignore my 1 star review.

    I have to use a browser for Meetup because the app is so buggy and frustrating. Today's new error is "The server returned an unexpected response: failed to get ranked events. Path: ranked events." Pops up on every screen. But this is not the first time nor the first error that has made the app unusable. I'll just delete again.

    where this App / company is seriously lacking is customer & tech support . And “no” your articles are not helpful! i sent an email a week ago, and no reply. Customers need help & supprt within 24 hours & human contact. especially since you now charge & raised your price. I’m super frustrated with company! JP

    I have been fighting with them for years about my group membership dues payments. Stripe platform is awful and they don’t care. After our group hit a thousand members I had no choice but to have it automated. They don’t know the meaning of automated. 1/3 can’t access their vendor Stripe to pay, so I collect then still have to go in and manage dues. A lot have paid and 7 months later I pay for the meetup site and have not received a nickel from them! #stripetheives, #stripe,#theives

    I enjoy Meetups a lot. App sometimes does not work and recently adding to iOS calendar stopped working unless I give full access. Hope things are corrected soon.

  • Dumbing down the member app

    You continue to dumb down the member app and make it more and more difficult to organize a group and manage events. Quit removing capabilities on the member app and at a minimum, reinstall the ability of organizers to read the answers to RSVP questions. Event postings disappear from the member app on their scheduled day, when the time they are scheduled to end passes. They can’t be found in either current or past events, making it impossible for members to post photos via the app until the following day. (And on and on….)

    I did these meetups for over a year and in a variety of different venues. Save for one or two - I began to feel like I was back in Junior year of high school. Despite my being friendly, sociable and respectful. It seems the same cliques dominate each meetup. And although I joined to expand my circle of friends, some of the events were geared towards singles. At those, Just like on the dating apps, the decent respectful men are ignored in favor of the loud mouth jerks or flashy idiots. Didn’t matter that I have a very good profession, higher income, ok looks, am over six foot tall etc….Honestly, I’ve had more success on Tinder, Bumble etc and at least there you are exposed to thousands of people without the burden of running all over town simply to be ignored.
