  • Coins- Ads for chapters

    When I downloaded the app the thing that had drawn me to it was the fact that all books were free and a chapter would unlock after an hour but now as for the past week it is no longer doing that it asking me to use coins or watch ads I enjoyed the fact that I could wait the hour if I didn’t have enough coins now I can’t open any chapters cause I don’t have enough until maybe the end of the week. Not sure why this was changed but I hope that it goes back to how it was. Also, you only get a limited number of ads to watch per day then it forces you to either wait until the next day or use coins if you have them. I wish the app reverts back to the hour wait time.

    I noticed after the update this feature (mentioned in the title) was removed. Why was this moved in favor of making us go through 3 ads or use coins? Please rewrite the code for the wait-time function

    At first this app was great I didn’t mind waiting an hour for the next chapter to release, but now that is gone. I would even use coins to release a chapter or the end of books when I chose to. Now you have to watch 3 ads to release a free chapter and you are capped each day so you can only read 5 chapters before it locks you out. This is not how you read books. This is a money grab. No way I am spending real money on something that only makes it harder for the reader.

    When I started using this app, you had to wait an hour between chapters after the first couple of free ones and I had no problems waiting the one hour because there was also the option to purchase that chapter instead of waiting, but now they’ve taken it away and now you have to watch three one minute ads to read one chapter which I find super stupid. I don’t want to watch ads in order to read chapters! From personal experience from other apps that have forced me to watch ads in order to progress is that the app glitches and doesn’t count the ad just watched and I have to rewatch it. I hate what you have done to this app. It is no longer any fun to read the stories and earn coins to purchase the final few chapters in a story.

    They think what we want is ads. Its not rewarding and turns away from the app. I used to love it and now I hate it. Thank you for ruining the app for me

    I was really enjoying this app, enjoying the books and exciting stories and so forth. However that was before the newest update happening. The fact that you have to be limited on the amount of ads you can watch for a chapter - the fact that once you hit that limit you have to now use coins or wait an entire day before you can read more is ridiculous. Before you could watch 1 ad and have 25 minutes taken off of the 1 hour wait before the next chapter. I preferred that method greatly because during that 1 hour wait time I could read other things then come back to the one I was waiting for. Now you have to watch 3 ads to unlock the chapter but after you do it five times you’re locked out from doing it again. Worthless update, I don’t know if I even want to continue with this app because of this new update.

    This app use to be my favorite for reading stories. You would have to wait one hour for a new free chapter for the majority of the book, then for the last dozen+ chapters, pay/use coins for them. I could read several books and not spend a fortune. Now, you have to watch several ads to get a free chapter. I don’t know if there is a cap on how many of those you can get a day, but it was really nice to not be bombarded with useless ads. This was an app I was happy to buy coins for because I at least knew I was getting a good deal. Now, it’s just as bad and a ripoff as all of the others. There are some decent stories, but having to sit through hundreds of ads or pay over $40/story is making me look for the books I was reading here on other apps.
