  • Great app but a little disappointed

I recently started a trial of the MyFitnessPal premium and loved it. When looking for a free macro calculator, I came across this app last night, and was very excited. It has some great features that I love. And a one-time low fee for the year sealed the deal. I immediately purchased the app and canceled my monthly subscription with MyFitnessPal. Then, first thing this morning, I went to log my coffee by scanning in the the bar code on the box and it was not found. I tried searching by taking a photo, but no matches. I did a search by name and couldn’t find it either. It is a Donut Shop Snickers pod by Keurig, so a well known brand. I tried scanning a couple other items to test the barcode scan feature, and some were found, some were not. Of course I can add them in, but that takes time. And I really don’t want to have to manually enter in items or try to find “the closest match” often. Another disappointment was when manually entering the item, I noticed the serving size adjustment wasn’t as user friendly. What I loved about MyFitnessPal, was how fast and simple it was to scan food in, the security of knowing the nutrient information was accurate, and the ease of adjusting the serving size. I cancelled this subscription and renewed MyFitnessPal. Once this apps database grows it will be amazing. Since I purchased it for the year, I will check back in to see if it will be worth renewing the subscription before this one terms in May 2025.
  • A few changes would be nice but really good

It is a good app and much more affordable than myfitnesspal. A couple issues I’ve had that would ease QoL is that when adding foods to the breakfast, lunch, dinner, it resets back to the top of the page each time. If I need to add a couple fruits back to back on the list I have to scroll back down to find it again. The next issue is the barcode scanner. No matter what I scan, it will not read barcodes, so that’s disappointing The third thing is macros. We should be able to set macros manually and not just by percentage. I understand what the goal is but being able to adjust to our specific needs will help a lot

I’ve used the camera option a few times & not once has it gotten the food correct & I have to manually enter it in. I downloaded this app specifically for that option. I will not be renewing.

  • Measurements

I don’t know why the measurements can’t be in imperial measurement system. Cups vs grams is not a frequently used conversion.
  • Beware

This may be a good app but I thought it was free and was charged for a subscription I did not want or use. They will not reply to a request for a refund. No way to contact them.

I wish you could track ounces and pounds instead of grams.
  • Love it, but

It doesn’t sync across devices. I’m often on my iPad and would like to see the same info on both devices.
  • Hate this app

I use another app that has more foods and brands, with photos it’s more accurate. I have used this for 2 days wish I could get my money back. The other app has more and is free. BIG MISTAKE! Will stick with the other one. Carb Manager

Took picture of my lemon chicken dinner from restaurant & a list of meals was provided& I have to scroll thru list & pick one closest to your meal. I scrolled thru over 50& nothing came close. It’s supposed to automatically tell me how many calories with just pic, false advertising
