This entire game has only progressed to siphon money from players. They got rid of f2p commanders, literally changed the game to make them useless. Beyond that there's tons of small irritations and mechanics that make no sense in the game. Save yourself the time and money and stay far away

They completely changed everything. Many people I know quit. I myself don’t play but still login. I spent a good chunk of money on the game (not even close to what some people spent) and feel ripped off after they took a game I played religiously and made it something else. Bad marketing. Bad development. Bad game now.

I will make the quick. In order to advance even at a 1/4 of the speed the huge spenders that pay to win, you too will have to spend at least $1-200 a season just to barely keep up. This money grubbing pay to win game makes people ugly and mean toward each other and wallets fly open to get back at or resist the high end players who have paid thousands. This game made me frustrated and actually made act like someone I don’t like. Don’t download this game unless your willing to pay huge amounts to keep up with many many whales.

This game was perfect. Played for two years every day. Now your reinforcements can be sniped, your sweeping armies aren't safe when you're afk, everything takes more time then it used to. The marching changes completely destroyed the game for me and it is now unplayable the way I know it. Time to move on...

Honestly 2.0 is not too bad. For everyone interested in downloading I will explain the change then express my opinion. Starting of in 1.0 you had the option to pick good or evil side then start your journey across the map. You really only had to focus one commander to be successful on the battlefield. Equipment had restrictions to which commanders can equip it and unique buffs you could enhance by refining. The goal was to conquer Dol Guldur and have the most amount of regions captured, and it was considered friendly to let others have regions to get maximum season rewards too. Now in 2.0 you have to have a pair of 4 commanders who’s skills work well together. In chests no matter if you pick good or evil you will get both items. For example I’ve played nearly 9 seasons and only played good, and now, I have 5 evil commanders, and my guaranteed t3 was evil :( the gear has less commander restrictions and now you have to match 4 equipment types to gain 1 effect. Finally the more capitals you conquer in 2.0 the more points you will get, meaning that everyone else would lose about 300-400 season points. Thoughts: I don’t understand why the developers would encourage wiping the map, it makes the gameplay less fun. Please remove this part 🙏 Honestly I’m not sure what to think on the commander and gear issue. I never spent any money on this game but now that I have to run 4 commanders instead of 1 I’m picking up much better results. I think this is due to the update “transition” (which really could have had some way to test in bag end) gave you +10% gold gear and not sure on the purple but it feels like +30%. Also it gave bonus respect items. I don’t like the fact that you have to match 4 for one bonus and that green gear can give the same as gold gear. If unique effects were brought back I think I might just like 2.0 better — I like pairing commanders together. P.S. Evil really needs a buff, me spending $0 can beat people with zenith t3 and uniques lol Graphics: the graphics are not bad honestly. The only problem I have with graphics are the greens. The trees look too cartoony and the commanders look like they’ve aged a couple decades lol Marching** I got put into the new PBE for marching and honestly I think it’s the worst part of 2.0 using crossings makes sense and avoiding mountains makes sense and honestly I might be okay with that, but not having to be connected to a tile makes it crazy. Theoretically you could long march clear across the map without having to make a path there. Please remove that aspect of the game. I sincerely doubt this review will have any effect on the developers, but if this helped anyone in game hit me up in it. I seriously cannot understand the thinking process of the devs, this game is becoming absolutely ridiculous. They changed the color system which confuses me, and I’m getting nostalgia from when 1.0 was around and it makes me so sad. The good old days when my friends played and we had normal gear which had its own unique effect and one commander per army. Now nobody likes the update myself included. All of my great friends I journeyed with for 2 years are quitting leaving without a fun game to play with friends. This is really frustrating to me devs. Like I said in the original review I KNOW that my review will do nothing for you, but I still feel motivated to try. One of these days if you continue like this you will be sued and go bankrupt, and I hope the door hits you on your way out. Final plea: bring back 1.0 in all it’s glory

The most recent update in April 2024 has killed the game. I liked 1.0 and even was enjoying the transition to 2.0 however the 10 minute delay to occupy tiles makes the game impossible to play. Over a lunch break I cannot even take 5 unguarded level 1 power enemy tiles. I have asked my friends on discord to let me know if they change this in the future but I till they do away with the 10 minute occupation timer, I’m out.

The update to season 2 is wack. There is no room for growth. Somehow all the land around me and beyond has already been occupied. I cant compete tasks anymore due to that. I dont like spending money on games and then being left hanging. I wouldnt recommend this until another update.

This game is unethical. I would give it negative stars if possible.

I get way to many evil respect items when I play only Role Playing good side! Keep the rewards at lest to one side alignment if they are going to be random at lest let them be good side only random. Spend way too much money to get a bunch of stuff I can’t use!
