  • Sleep stages interface unusable

I use the Fitbit app primarily for step counts and sleep analysis. Previously it was easy to see stats at a glance and compare days side by side. Recent updates provide non-intuitive views that don’t add anything of value but make it much harder to view data over time. Please revert to the older, cleaner, dashboard views or let us opt in to a classic view. I shouldn’t have to work this hard to see my sleep stages. The colored bars were easy to interpret at a glance. I have no idea what the vertically separated color markers and dotted vertical lines in the new graphs are trying to tell me, and they add no value whatsoever. And it’s now impossible to see daily variation. 30 day average adds no value and benchmarks may be of passing interest, but neither help me see how I’m sleeping and where I can improve. Looking at other reviews and forums, It doesn’t sound like I’m unique in my opinion of these changes (definitely not improvements!). If I can’t use the app to quickly interpret sleep data and compare daily metrics side by side, then I have no need for the app, and without it, the tracker only shows real time info. Time to start looking for a different device, I guess. Or maybe for a third party developer to create an app that imports Fitbit data and displays it in a more user friendly way, like the old app did.
  • Horrible Since Google Took Over!

I’ve tried to put up with the changes Google has made to this app. First taking away challenges with friends, various interface changes, but the latest change to my sleep information is the last straw. I’ve had a FitBit since they first came out and loved them. I saw no reason to get an Apple Watch even when I had to get an iPhone for work. But this app is completely useless at this point so I am out to find a new tracker. It will probably be a Galaxy or Apple, but it sure won’t be a FitBit. Don’t bother with this app!

RIP cute little graphic with the little smiling guy who went 🤔when you edited the sleep data and then smiled after it updated. Booooooo 👎🏻

The ability to sync my Charge 6 to my iPhone have been very frustrating to say the least. It makes the app nearly useless because it never has data. With the new sleep interface, I don’t need the data because I can’t make sense of it anyway. Do they understand what users are actually trying to accomplish with a smartwatch?
  • Each new “update” makes things worse

It’s horrifically slow to sync, the organization of the data is poor, and the new chart for sleeping is absolutely awful. It’s like they get in a room and ask each other, what would make this worse? And then they go do that.

Dear, Fitbit I hate the new update to the apps appearance. I opened the app to see an ugly home page, so I updated the app hoping it was just a bug. I was very disappointed when I realized this is how the app looks permanently now. This might be the reason I stop using my Fitbit. I have been using my Fitbit since December 2023 but after this new update I don’t know if I will keep using it. This may seem dramatic but I truly hate how it looks. The app is also very confusing. I mainly use the app to track my sleep and that is where I have noticed the most change. I can’t look at my weekly sleep report anymore, see how I did in each category or sleep, and it’s just all around much uglier. HUGE downgrade. I really hope that this change is not permanent 🙏. Sincerely, Fitbit user
  • Graphics disappointing

I love my Fitbit versa 2. It’s so helpful in tracking activity, sleep, and steps. I’m sorely disappointed in the current upgrades of the graphics. Much preferred the previous graphics, especially for the sleep tracking. Bring back the fun graphics!!
  • Last Update Was a Fail

Just read the Reddit fitbit community. You took a good sleep UI and made it ugly. It’s like Google wants customers to leave fitbit.
  • Updates are degrading what was once a great app

    Von Sophietx
Since Google has taken over Fitbit, there have been a series of updates to the app that have severely degraded the user interface & usefulness of data on the app. The latest is the sleep chart redesign, which is pure garbage. It took away many of the features that we have come to know. Sleep tracking is arguably one of the most important features of Fitbit and the redesign has rendered it almost useless. Do not reccomend.

Most recent update to the user interface of the sleep tracker is awful. They should fire their graphic designers.
