    I’ve used this app for years and love how simple it is yet provides so much information. And I love that it has a widget! I work outdoors and reference the widget all the time for when sunset and last light are so I know when I have to clean up. The widget is the same as the main app - tons of info layed out in a very simple and easy to understand way - no scrolling around or having to navigate through multiple screens to find what you want. It’s all just right there on one screen. I just downloaded the update and I couldn’t get the widget to show my location anymore, I emailed the developer and they got back to me right away, turns out it was my own user error 🙃 but was impressed with their very quick response and help.

    Have this on my Apple Watch and iPad, and I no longer have to guess when to record night flying or landings for currency.

    Had a dark spot on the widget part for the app which is gone now. Only thing is that it seems to have gobbled up the payment method. Free version works great so I wouldn’t mind paying the one time payment option for the good work. But it doesn’t seem to have the option anymore.

    TLDR: widgets do not work. I have one aim: to display sunset and sunrise times on my lock screen. You must purchase “Gold” version of SolarWatch to do that. I downloaded app & started free trial. There are small square widgets for displaying “Next Sunrise/Sunset” and “Next Solar Event” on Lockscreen. Even after enabling GPS for app & restarting phone, both widgets displayed times at least 90mins off actual sunset/sunrise time. I’ve wasted enough time w SolarWatch. There are other apps that cost half as much that will meet my needs.

    Complication stopped working on Apple Watch Smart Stack recently. When it was working. I loved it. One other minor complaint is that when it was working, it only displayed 3 time slots: and I’m interested in 4 pieces of data: sunrise start, sunrise end, sunset start and sunset end.

    after years using Solar Watch on my iPhones, the application failed. It only provides a static screen. I’ve uninstalled, checked app setting in System Settings to no avail. Zero functionality. I’ve uninstalled it and reinstalled and have an active subscription. $10 down the tubes. Do NOT pay for this service.
