    I love Roadtrippers. I use it to plan and route all my road trips. It’s so easy to add n take away waypoints to plan accordingly. It shows highlights and shows off the beaten path places within your distance you tell it. Shows mileage, hours, and even estimated gas cost which is pretty close.

  • Bait & Switch: Decreased capabilities with increased cost

    What a huge disappointment! We have recommended this app to many friends and used it for numerous trips since 2021. We ultimately subscribed in 2022 at $29 per year for the unlimited stops and completed one cross country road trip in excess of 10K miles. The features to find interesting stops were what sold us on renewing again in 2023. We completed another major Northeast road trip last summer and when we were notified the price was increasing to $35.99 a year we felt it was still worth it for the memories we were creating. Now when I went in to share a previous trip with a friend I find that all my past road-trips are locked and to view them I have to pay more money. The new tiers reduce the number of stops per trip to barely what was allowed with the previous free version (20 stops vs 15 stops). They say they notified people of the change, but I cannot find an email alerting to the drastic reduction in capabilities for a significantly higher membership subscription. The FAQ page states no refunds are available so I guess I am stuck for another year with a useless subscription (I have fixed my automatic renewal). I do feel the company was not straightforward with warning existing customers with the severity of impact that was coming (losing access to all previous trips, reduction of waypoints per trip, etc). This was really masked when they gave you the same capabilities for the remaining subscription period. Very poor customer service and loyalty to existing paying customers! They way to fix this is to restore access to previous trip that were purchased under previous plans and give an additional transition period for previous paying customers. When we discussed our journeys with friends and mutual road-trip enthusiasts, we always provided raving reviews about this app. Instead of having an ambassador for their company, they have now created someone who will trumpet their deceptive business practices!

  • Waste of time and now money

    This app was great in 2018, I did the week trial a couple weeks ago and within an hour I quickly realized that the app was much different and far less helpful than it once was. Ultimately used google for everything I needed. Now being a few days beyond the week trial period I’ve thrown money away because they’d rather have a bad review than issue a refund from a polite email. Too bad.

  • Way too expensive, no monthly option

    I used to absolutely love this app, used it on a few trips from CA to TX. But like all good things, now they want to charge you an arm and a leg to use it and there is no monthly option! I’m not paying $80/year for a 7 day trip. Might be worth it for anyone taking 4+ trips a year but why in the world can’t it offer a monthly option? Won’t even let me look at my old trips now without paying and no free options at all any more. 👎🏼
