Strava makes fitness tracking social. We house your entire active journey in one spot – and you get to share it with friends. Here’s how: • Record everything – runs, rides, hikes, yoga and over 30 other sport types. Think of Strava as the homebase of your movement. • Discover anywhere – our Routes tool uses de-identified Strava data to intelligently recommend popular routes based on your preferences. You can also build your own. • Build a support network – Strava’s about celebrating movement. Here you’ll find your community and cheer each other on. • Train smarter – get data insights to understand your progress and see how you improve. Your Training Log is the record of all your workouts. • Move safer – share your real-time location with loved ones while outdoors for an extra layer of safety. • Sync your favorite apps and devices – Strava is compatible with thousands of them (Apple Watch, Fitbit, Garmin – you name it). • Join and create challenges – join millions in monthly challenges to chase new goals, collect digital badges and stay accountable. • Embrace the unfiltered – your feed on Strava is filled with real efforts from real people. That’s how we motivate each other. • Whether you’re a world-class athlete or a total beginner, you belong here. Just record and go. Strava includes both a free version and a subscription version with premium features. Strava uses HealthKit to export your Strava activities into the Health app and to read heart rate and biometric data. You can subscribe and pay on the App Store, using your Apple ID. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renew may be turned off after purchase by going to the ‘Manage Subscription’ page in settings. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable. The subscription will renew at the same cost. • Great app

I’ve used Strava for about a year now, and I really like the way that it’s structured and it’s easy to start on the go. My only complaint is that it’s always asking if I would like to renew my membership, other than that no issues with the app. 10/10 would recommend
  • Tried to be the all in one exercise app

Strava like so many exercise apps tries to incorporate too many performance metrics features that likely aren’t as accurate as promised, such as the measurement of current fitness based on a ride. At $80 or whatever the latest cost is, it has also lost value.
  • Disappointed e-bike rider

I switched to an e-bike last year not to set any speed records but so I could ride longer and farther. And to ride more easily with my younger friends and keep up with them on group rides. I am disappointed that I cannot earn segments or legend status. I get that some people could kick up the speed on an e-bike to be faster, but even with “regular “ bikes there are various differences that can give some a speed advantage over other bikes. AND why not let e-bikes earn legend status on a segment? it’s about “how many times” a person rides on a segment. An e-bike or regular bike should not make a difference to earn this. Or why not make an e-bike category. That might be less effective if you live in an area with few e-bike riders; you would only be riding against yourself. I do still use Strava for some of its other features but I think Strava needs to be a little more inclusive of its e-bike riders.

Voice prompt worked first day, hasn’t worked since.
  • Can not connect to Apple Watch

Seems to be a really common and long-time problem and so many fix tricks posted online with people complaining about this and none worked.
  • Lackluster accessibility, now with forced arbitration

The accessibility of Strava with VoiceOver has never been great, despite me pointing out issues for years. Now they have forced arbitration, which you can opt out of by sending snail mail to San Francisco.
  • Lock screen capabilities

Until Strava builds the long-overdue lock screen feature, it will be inferior to apps like MapMyRun. It is incredibly frustrating to forget to stop recording a workout or try to open the app mid-run to see your pace. I see requests for this feature dating back years on their website but no apparent movement to make this happen.
  • Maps need improvement

I’m currently having an issue after an app update that freezes and then crashes my app when I try to use a filter option in maps. The map is not very accessible for those who need glasses, even readers. My prescription isn’t very strong, but even zoomed all of the way in the font for street names is very small. They should take a look at how Google maps handles this. Also, I would like to have turn by turn navigation since the point of drawing new routes or following a new one is that you’re going some place new. For as expensive as the subscription is, I want more premium features.
