It’s a beautiful day to be Alive! Alive is a fitness and wellness app by Whitney Simmons. Whitney has shared her fitness journey and workouts for many years and has now designed programming to help women with their journeys. Whitney is passionate about empowering women to shape the best versions of themselves mentally and physically. This app provides customized programs and workouts to push you to your limits, helping you achieve your fitness goals and get in the best shape of your life. Alive was planned and designed to be as simple as possible and easy to use. Focusing specifically on the workout experience so you have confidence during your workouts. We are excited to continue improving and evolving the app with our Alive community in the process. Features Programs Alive includes 20 different programs to choose from based on your personal goals. When you join a program you are guided through a full schedule of workouts that span over several weeks. This takes any guesswork out and keeps you focused on your goals. Challenges Alive strongly believes your mental health is just as important as your physical health and has designed 30-day challenges where those intersect. Each challenge contains daily tasks, mindful mobility, workouts, and journal prompts. These challenges will help you push your limits and uncover new habits to live a healthier day-to-day life. Daily Workouts Alive includes over 100 daily workouts that are split up into different categories (HiiT, Abs, Pull, etc) so you can decide what type of workout you want to do. Journey The path to a fit, healthy life is a journey, not an overnight process. The journey allows you to keep track of your progress by weight, photos, and a timeline of progress. Alive also has the capability of syncing your active minutes and weight data with Apple Health. Consistency is key so as you continually hit your goals the app will reward you with achievements along the way! Subscriptions / Alive Premium Alive is free to download and offers two Premium subscription options, Monthly and Annual. Both options include a 7-day trial. Alive Premium provides full access to the app including all programs and daily workouts. Subscriptions will be charged to your credit card through your iTunes account. • My first program

Love Whitney! Was skeptical at first about so many rests after over training for years with little breaks. Waiting 2 minutes sometimes between sets is sometimes hard but I’m getting to enjoy it and am surprised that I still burn a lot of calories (comparable to my previous lifts with no breaks). I also love the warmup & cool downs. I feel like I’m becoming a better athlete. One thing I wish is they had more variety in workouts. Sometimes I find myself missing some of the conventional ones I’m used to doing because there are only 4-5 exercises per day. Ex: doing gorilla rows instead of barbell, no face pulls, ect

I love Whitney, and the app has a beautiful interface, but it’s definitely meant for people with more experience working out. There’s no break down of exercises letting you know what should be flexed, or where you should feel it, so it wastes a lot of time if you aren’t already familiar with an exercise or don’t already have perfect form. Anyone can google free workout plans… the only difference is you can upload your reps/weight directly onto this app for each exercise. I’m also seeing 2+ year old reviews mentioning this same issue, so obviously developers aren’t especially concerned with adding that feature. I’ll be looking for a different app after the free trial is up.

I’ve kept up with Whitney on tiktok for a while now, and even done some of her workouts she posts! It’s so nice to have such an amazing person as a personal trainer through the app! I’ve lost 6 pounds in 1 week!! It’s easy to navigate and track your progress on the app! By far my favorite workout app! 🩷

I’m not new to the gym, but I needed a structured routine, I was beginning to hate the gym. I love how this app has all different levels, and if followed correctly is enjoyable and gives results. With adding cardio and abs to the programs, I’m already looking and feeling better in just 4 weeks :) currently doing lift with Libby.

I’ve been watching Whitney Simmons on YouTube since I was like 16 and I’m now 25. She was always so positive in her videos, and talked openly about gymtimidation. For someone as fit and beautiful as she is to admit to having gymtimidation, and also giving strategies for overcoming it so you can feel more comfortable in the gym, gave me the confidence to start weight training. I have been in and out of the gym weight training for a few years, never really being very consistent or having any clear goals because I could never find a plan or program that was straightforward and achievable. When her app came out I immediately loved it and it was exactly the kind of program I was looking for. It sticks to a lot of basic compound movements and as you move further along in the programs, more variations of them are added in so you don’t get bored, and your muscles can continue to be challenged. I’ve been using it for two years now and I can’t say enough good things about it, I always tell my friends about it when they talk about wanting to get into the gym. For $10 a month you have everything you need to train consistently in the gym and improve your fitness. Super grateful for Whitney and this app and I hope they continue to come out with more programs and exercise variations in this app.

I absolutely LOVE this app. I’ve never written a review for an app but this one definitely deserves it. First of all, I love how modern and dynamic, and user friendly is the app; it makes working out easier. Second, the variety of programs is amazing! It fits every necessity, from three day essentials, to pregnancy program, to four to five days program per week. I’ve already completed two programs and I can’t wait to do them all.

I love this app, though if I had one suggestion for change it would be this: if a particular machine is not available at my gym and o have to do one of the alternative exercises, I would like to be able to swap out the programmed one for the one I am actually doing and track the weights.

Thankful this app has taught me how to use free weights as opposed to just weight machines. I finally feel like a true gym girly. 💪🏼 I love the helpful videos that show me how to do the exercises!

I enjoy not having to make my own workouts. I love following Whitney and she is 100% the reason I even tried it. The app is pretty but I do have some dislikes: - Don’t like how editing the weight on a previous exercise stops the rest timer; would want the rest timer to be standalone - Don’t like how the video of the exercise keeps playing while I’m resting; mostly just because I’m insecure and don’t want people seeing what I’m following - Don’t like how there aren’t other options if the equipment/ exercise isn’t feasible; waited like 12mins for a person to get off a machine I needed just because I didn’t know an alternative - Don’t like not being able to see weight progressions from past workouts or even what the past workouts were - App doesn’t appear to be syncing with my Health app even though it’s selected With that said, I’d rather use the app than another so I’ll continue especially since I paid for the year long subscription. I enjoy it enough as is but do wish it was a bit more intuitive.
