Weekly is a beautiful budgeting app based on a week. No matter how often you are paid, weekly budgeting is the most effective way to stop overspending and save for your money goals. Weekly is both a budget planner and spending tracker. Weekly starts with a simple guided setup where you put in all your recurring bills and income. Next, you add in your savings goals. Then based on those budget items, Weekly calculates for you your weekly spending limit. Once your budget is set, our one-of-a-kind spending tracker monitors your day-to-day spending by downloading your transactions from your bank (or you can add them manually). You can then quickly and easily organize your purchases into categories. We will show you how much you are spending on things like “Gas” and “Groceries” or any other category you would like to track. As the weeks go by you can see your average spending by category and challenge yourself to keep your “Safe-to-Spend” balance “in the green”. Weekly is perfect for household and personal budgets. You can also share Weekly to stay on track with your budget with a spouse or partner. Weekly is also a great bill organizer. On the dashboard you will see your upcoming bills and whether they have been paid. Weekly will tell you the number of days left until the next bill is due. Connect your banks and credit cards to see all your account balances in one place. Stay on top of our personal finances. Stop overspending and feel great about starting to save money. Tracking money with Weekly is fun. Use emojis to represent your different recurring bills and safe-to-spend categories. Weekly’s one tap review icons let you quickly confirm your transactions, striking the perfect balance between keeping you in touch with your money and giving you freedom in your life. • The Budget App I Wish I Had 20 Years Ago

I intentionally waited several months before writing a review in order to ensure I really used the app (or not). I’ve tried various budgeting apps over the years, including Mint, Quicken, MS Money, Excel, etc…, and they all have one thing in common… It’s hard to manage overly detailed budgets on a monthly basis, leading to lots of time wasted on setup and then giving up on it within a month or two. This is not the case with weekly. You get a simple weekly dashboard that tells you here is how much you can spend for the week, along with tracking to help you see how that value changes over the week. It doesn’t care how I spend my money, that I eat out too much or whatever, it just tells me how much money I have left to spend each week. The rest is up to me. That is hard to get used to at first, but it is way more approachable than trying to budget every little thing, and being wrong all the time. It’s been 4 months since I started using the app, and it’s probably the most used app I have now. Here are some pointers I learned: * Watch the video tutorial and really get a good understanding of what is recurring and what isn’t. I tried to rush into setting everything up and ultimately had to start over when I realized I was doing it wrong. Trust me, the time spent understanding how a weekly budget works is worth the investment. * I personally like to start my week on Mondays because I know that what I am spending on weekdays is usually must-haves, and it sets me up going into the weekend knowing what I can spend on nice-to-haves. * Keep enough cash in your accounts to deal with fluctuations in bills in spending. That’s easier than trying to figure out if there’s enough money to pay next week’s bills. Over time, it all averages out if you aren’t going over your weekly budget. * Lastly, this isn’t a retirement planner, investment modeler, balance sheet calculator, etc…. Appreciate this app for what it does really well, and use other tools for those types of things.

It’s been really helpful to focus on sticking to a budget on a weekly basis. When my wife and I have $200 a month on shopping, that is usually spent the first week! But this has made it be a timeline that we can be successful on. Feature Suggestion. I love the simple report for Safe To Spend Categories. And today I realized I can input the spending in my recurring categories. Can you create a report showing the recurring categories too? I have items like car & house maintenance as recurring so that I budget to save for expected issues in the future. But it would be sweet to see how my spending aligns with my budget for those items. Or is there some other way you would recommend tracking costs you know will happen, but don’t know precisely when they will or how much they will cost? I don’t want to eat out or go shopping because it was “safe to spend” only to later get a crack in my windshield and have no allocated money to replace it!
  • The best budgeting app

I’ve used several budgeting apps over time (Mint, YNAB, EveryDollar), and this is the one I prefer over them all. Weekly budgeting is the most intuitive and flexible, and this app does a great job of tracking budgets and funds with weekly instead of monthly budgets. It has really improved the way I manage my money and made it so easy to stick to my budget. It does not track investments and net worth, but that can be easily done in many other free apps. This app is excellent at what it does, and their support folks are very responsive and helpful.
  • First time budgeting has worked for me

I don’t know why I haven’t come across the weekly budgeting method before. It’s so simple and so obvious yet it’s never been a part of any budgeting guide or app I’ve tried. This app is simple, easy to use, and effective. I’ve made budgets before, it’s sticking to it that’s always been the issue. It’s so easy to overspend when the goalpost of your monthly budget is so far away for so long. 7 days is perfect for someone like me (maybe it’s the ADHD). If I were to add anything it might be to have an option to see what I can spend daily?
  • Bugs were fixed!

Hi! The newest update is terribly buggy making the app unusable. Please fix the “start new week” button because right now it just spins circles and won’t move to the next screen to start the new week meaning I’m stuck without an accurate budget for this week until an update is pushed through. Also, the widget that shows the active budget looks strange since the update with much of the widget blacked out but it is functional. Update: the bug in the “start new week” button was fixed within a day or two of submitting this original review. Customer service is great! The widget showing my safe-to-spend is still looking funky with black all around the number but the safe-to-spend is still visible.

I couldn’t be happier with how user friendly yet comprehensive this app is. Love the weekly spending limit too. Never would have thought of this but it makes budgeting much more applicable to every day spending than a month-based budget does.

This app has changed my life & I don’t even use the pro version! So grateful for these creators… I’ve tried countless times to find an app that can make keeping to a budget easier

I have struggled for so long with staying within budget and not overspending which would lead to paying bills late. This app takes away all the stress of figuring it out. All I did was enter every bill & paycheck I get in a month and it sorts it all out for you. I know exactly how much I have available to spend each week and have not paid a bill late once this month. Absolutely love it and highly recommend purchasing the subscription. Worth it!

I used this app this month and loved the ability to budget from my safe-to-spend category on a weekly basis. Unfortunately, at the end of the month I noticed that I was in the red. I ran the numbers myself and found that my “safe to spend” category was much higher than it should have been. Now I need to find a new budgeting app.

I got this app to organize my daughter’s finances but I’m the one who can’t put it down. It’s so logical and easy to use. I like the idea of reducing the budget to a week and what’s left to spend or save. Really great tool. The only thing I wish it had was a notes area on expenses so you can track account Nbrs or contact info.
