  • Best News App to date

This news app focuses on the actual news and not bias. I've been searching for an app like this for years and I've finally found it.
  • Love the intent but ads are awful

Anytime I open a news article within the app, quite often I am assaulted with a full page video ad with no x to exit. It really boils my blood. You can have control over the ads, it’s YOUR app. Ban full pages!
  • Terrible app

Cannot read the news in the slightest, every 3 - 5 seconds a video is playing. I want to READ the news not watch a video or ad.
  • Easily see all the bias

Full access to all biases, makes researching the news on a headline much easier. When a story breaks they have almost every news sites head lines and full stories available for you to read

  • Not worth it

I recommend the Google app for there feed, it will continue to refresh no matter how many times you refresh in a day. Paid $60 for the pro subscription and the app won’t even refresh my feeds when I pull down at the top. It will show that it’s refreshing but then all the articles just stay the same. It’s beyond annoying having to continually scrolling down all day long to get to more articles. Awful design, I thought the main idea of apps were to make it “addicting” or atleast to provide an experience that makes me want to use the app more. Probably gonna request a refund by end of week if I keep going to my free Google feed more than my $60 subscription that majorly lacks articles… even though I’m sure there are thousands upon thousands of articles out there. I haven’t even brought up how stupid it is that you can reorganize your topics at the top. Why? Why can I not tailor this app to my personal preferences. This app is so basic and the more I think about it the more I realize what a scam this company is.
  • So full of invasive ads it’s not worth it

I can’t read a single article without my screen being hijacked by invasive and irrelevant ads. The developers have built an ad platform that has a few bits of news sandwiched between annoying popups for metal roof repair and mysterious supplement. I pay for this site and I’m still bombarded with ads to the point that I’m considering cancelling my subscription. Way to go, guys. That’s quality development work. You should feel proud of yourselves. TLDR; this app is just an ad server wrapped around the website. Not worth your time.
  • Source blocking limit

    Von CaelikOfAzeroth
As a subscriber for several months I have seen far too many sources that have questionable factuality. Instead of having a list available for the user to select which sources to see, the developer forces me to block them as as they appear. That was annoying enough, but when I last attempted to block a source I had a pop-up informing me that I have reached the maximum quota of blocked sources. $30 subscription with that kind of limitation? Immediately cancelled and uninstalled.

  • Making news palatable again

Worked in news for some years and learned to hate it. I worked when there was a new ISIS or mass shooting event almost daily. Stopped following news altogether once I left that gig. I knew that if I wanted the real news, I needed to do legwork and compare articles, sources, find a 3rd party commenter, but i have little desire to do this for every story. This app makes it simple to compare headlines, and even quickly read articles from different leanings of sources. Sometimes just for a laugh from fringe stories, but it helps me quickly get a balanced view that I can dig into with ease. I want the devs to keep thinking and finding new ways to accomplish this, but features like blindspot and personal stats are great starts to making me feel like comprehensively understanding the local and world news stories are a few easy taps away. If you understand anything about the news climate, you’ll see the immediate value in an app like this. In its current state it does still feel like a nice beta, but it’s got the right idea and is on a path toward something not just great, but necessary for navigating online news content.
