    The functionality of the app continues to decline as time goes on. If you tap the “sections” link in the menu, the app closes. As soon as one bug is fixed, another seems to crop up. So disappointed that this is what has become of this once proud newspaper.

    Tap to view an article and you get Please Try Later. Is there a specific time for later or do you keep trying. Can you give a more detailed message, so I can better plan my reading time. Update: I’ve discovered the problem is not with the app. I’ve looked back in the archived editions and found the display problem follows the edition even after several days in archive. I suspect the formatting of the E-edition is not being done correctly causing the app to incorrectly display or fail. The 3-16-24 edition was a good example. If either sections or pages was selected, the app crashed. The 3-15-24 edition was fine. The Please Try Later problem is probably formatting as well.

    Please fix the app! It was working OK but recently it got messed up. I’m using the app on my iPad and when you click to open an article, the print is too small. There is no way to increase the font size. Sometimes the articles and comics don’t even load when you click on them, or it takes forever. If you want people to subscribe to the digital edition you need to have a functioning app to read it! The website has its own issues.

    Today February 24 I tried to open the newspaper which I did but when I went to the sections it crashed the whole app crashed so we need an update or something cause it’s been a while

    First it worked, then it was broke. Then it worked again, only to break a week later. It is obvious the LA Times organization does not invest in capable developers

    We have been subscribing to the U-T for over 60 years and have used the e version since it started. Everything went pretty well until recently. Now it takes forever to find a way to actually get the day’s paper. This needs to change NOW. B Martyn

    You get what you pay for. I thought I was getting a very good digital subscription offer and it didn’t deliver. I constantly had login issues. My login issues got so bad to where I was having to reset my credentials twice a day. I canceled and requested a refund. If I had the option give zero stars I would have assigned that rating!!!

    The best daily newspaper in San Diego and Imperial Counties with good coverage of northern Baja California and the border region . Great local sports coverage.

    You can no longer access the Sports Poll by Phone, and you can cast your vote via sandiegouniontribune.com as directed. I Guess since both the Padres and Chargers are doing terrible the Newspaper would rather not hear from you.
